What is an unrestricted gift?

Unrestricted gifts (also called "Academic Excellence" gifts) enable the BTC Foundation to use your donation wherever it will have the greatest impact. Large or small, the flexibility of unrestricted gifts provides critical support for BTC students, and moves us forward in meeting our goals of student access, success and retention.

Unrestricted gifts address priorities in a variety of areas, including:

• Outreach to underserved populations
• Emergency funding
• Responding to student needs
• Strengthening educational programs and resources
• Purchasing equipment
• Meeting ordinary and unexpected expenses
• Improving faculty access to program research and development
