2008 was an exciting year for Bellingham Technical College. As part of our 50th Anniversary celebration we hosted a number of events including: our annual Welding Rodeo, the McArdle Center buiding dedication for long-time former Presidents Des McArdle, and a campus Open House, and a 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Auction. The auction was designed to reconnect new and old friends wih the College and to raise money for student scholarships. In all, this compilation of events raised $200,000 which primarily benefited student scholarships at BTC. Click on the link to see photos of the 50th Anniversary Auction!
On October 30, 2009 the BTC Foundation hosted its annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast to not only honor the students receiving a Foundation Scholarship but also to thank donors for their generous support of academic excellence and student success at BTC. This awards ceremony also serves as a wonderful opportunity for donors to meet and get to know their scholarship recipient and for awardees to personally thank their donor. A tasty buffet breakfast is catered by BTC Food Services Manager Marc Eilberg and his team of student chef’s.
